Exactly a week ago when MIlva had one of her little moments playing the circling game online, she jumped on one of those iron crosses that holds up a jump. Besides a bleeding wound she also got a crack in the hoof and today a part of the hoof fell of. It looks pretty deep but she doesn´t show any kind of lameness, is not warm, has no temperature, is eating normally and uses all four legs as usual.
Helene is coming in two weeks to trim her hooves - if I don´t call her earlier.
After looking at Milva´s hoof at least hundred and thirteen times she got pretty tired of me so I took her grazing for 2 hours instead.
I´m going there first thing in the morning tomorrow to see how she is doing. Sunrise is at 4.21 ;).
Jag hoppas att det inte besvärar henne. Kan du inte köpa en rasp och fila till det lite, som när man filar naglarna ungefär, så att kanterna snyggas till lite?

Ulrika - ja, det hade jag tänkt göra och Shawn har något pasta liknande som man kan sätta på så att det inte spricka mer.

BB - danke Billy´s mum. ich glaube es sieht schlimmer aus als es ist. I bin halt nua a bissl hysterisch wauns zua der Milva kummt.
Jag gissar på att det där inte är någon fara men att fila till det är bra och att ta dit sin verkare för koll skulle jag nog också gjort. Hade en häst som hoppade från hög höjd och spräckte hoven men det växte ned och hon hade aldrig besvär av det. Håller tre fingrar för er..

ReplyDeletedet ser bra ut så länge. hon är inte halt eller öm men jag är oroligt ändå. ska se vad som händer i dem närmaste dagarna. shawn har filat till hoven och satt på någon lim liknade pasta så det inte spricker upp ännu mer.
