Prim goes barefoot

We took Prim's shoes off yesterday and the plan is to have him barefoot as long as both horses are resting - for another year or so. Prim is really tall, a Swedish half blood with thoroughbred hooves who are to small. Let's see what happens now. I'm just really really happy about that Peter can do the shoeing by himself. Milva's hooves improved tremendous since he started to do them. While working on Prim we put the little princess in a box which she found everything else than amusing. It's been rainy and stormy here so we put the horses in the turnout stable for now. Hope the weather is changing again so they can go a bit more in the summer pasture.
