Hamburg was awesome yesterday and we had a cosy time at the Chrismasmarket. It took 5 hours to drive down and 5 hours back which is much less than I expected. We are definitely going back down there. Hamburg itself is a very nice city and the people were very friendly.
Oh, I'd love to go to a Christkindl Markt! The one in Munich is another very cool one... Sitting here and eating chips and salsa, and mandarines and string cheese and reading blogs:-) No snow in sight!

No snow in Colorado? I thought you would be all snowed in by now. I love salsa! Shawn makes it quite often together with homemade flax seed crackers. We don´t have Christkindl markets here in Sweden - not the same as we have in Austria anyway so it was a bit of a walk down the memory lane thing :). On some occasions I do miss Austria, specially when I think about skiing and the mountains of course.
Today we got snow! Just a few inches, but very wet. With more to come until Friday. The horses were soaking wet this morning, so they are munching their breakfast in the barn to dry off. At lunch, I'll run over and put blankets on them and turn them back out :-) Yeah, Christkindl Markets and the Biergarten... I miss stuff like that! Homemade flax seed crackers sound yummy!!!
-Horsemanship is natural -Make no assumptions -Communication is two or more individuals sharing and understanding an idea -The eight responsibilities of a Partnership -The attitude of Justice is effective -Body language is universal -Horses teach riders, riders teach horses -Principles, purpose and time are the tools of teaching
The Eight Responsibilities
There are eight responsibilities in a horse-human relationship: four for the human and four for the horse. The four responsibilites for the Human: -Don´t act like a predator. Become more mentally, emotionally and physically fit. -Have an independent seat. -Think like a horse-man -Use the natural power of focus. The four responsibilities for the horse: -Don´t act like a prey-animal. Become more mentally, emotionally and physically fit. -Don´t change gait. -Don´t change direction. -Look where you are going
