Packed up all her stuff today and loaded it in the trailer. Tomorrow we gonna drive all her belongings up and then on Wednesday she is gonna move.

Sleep through a storm - author unknown

 "A young man applied for a job as a farmhand. When the farmer... asked for his qualifications, he said, "I can sleep through a storm." This puzzled the farmer... but he liked the young man. So he hired him. A few weeks later, the farmer and his wife were awakened in the night by a violent storm ripping through the valley. He leapt out of bed and called for his new hired hand, but the young man was sleeping soundly. So they quickly began to check things to see if all was secure. They found that the shutters of the farmhouse had been securely fastened. A good supply of logs had been set next to the fireplace. The farmer and his wife then inspected their property. They found that the farm tools had been placed in the storage shed, safe from the elements. He sees that the bales of wheat had been bound and wrapped in tarpaulins. The tractor had been moved into its garage. The barn was properly locked tight. Even the animals were calm and had plenty of feed. All was well. The farmer then understood the meaning of the young man's words, "I can sleep through a storm." Because the farmhand did his work loyally and faithfully when the skies were clear, he was prepared for any storm. So when the storm did actually break, he was not concerned or afraid. Sneaky Quiet Walk

I thought  Milva to walk very very quiet today, like a sneaky walk without making any noise and having her head low so we can hide. Don´t know what to use it for really but she totally got it and as soon as I started to sneak so did she and she put in alot of effort not to make any noise - too funny! So in case we need to flee one day we can do it without making any  noise - just need to work on the speed ;).

Longing after SNOOOW!!!

Tired of all that mud in our pasture. Spent a while building small channels to get rid of all the water.
The ridinghouse is still not ready and therefor we are playing lots of online and taking lots of walks.
I thinkg we are the only ones that actually can use the dressagepaddock now while the ridinghouse floor is getting done - with all those machines, tractors driving and strange noises going most people decide to ride in the sandpaddock. Lucky me! The positive thing is that we worked alot with falling leaf patterns and moving the forehand - which we can do now with a very light phase 1.

Played with Milva twice today - our bootcamp continues this week as well. In the morning we played with falling leaf pattern, moving the forehand and circling game + a walk down the dirtroad. Evening we walked in the sandpaddock for a while.
Finished the first horsehead wreath and gave it to Malin in the stable. I´m gonna make a few more and will sell them and donate the money to Kattkommando Syd - a organisation that takes care of wild cats or cats with no home.

Lesson for Anna

Riding and online in the morning.
Afternoon lesson with Anna which was super fun. Lots of moving the forehand with driving game - which we don´t like and therefor don´t do ;). Moving the forehand a quarter than backing up - from cone to cone, falling leaf patterns and friendly game with me laying on her.
Lots to think about and lots to play with.

Collecting brenches for our horses and watching Parelli dvds in the morning and afternoon.
Anna was so nice to lend out her dvds to me.
I also bought a book abour horse nutrition today. I always wanted to have one but never got one, don´t know why really.
I also bought a lotion for Milva´s mudfever, which is gone right now but surelly will come back again...

Independent Pony

While I was busy mucking out, building channels and putting new straw in, Milva decided to take a walk by herself.
It was really funny. When I found out that she had left I walked after her, disengaged her hindquarters which made her turn around and wait and when I catched up with her she walked on again so I guess it was time for a morning walk.

Touch it &I friendly game

Long walk in the november sun today. Played touch it and friendly game with a huge tree that fell down during the last storm.
Coffe & cake with Patricia and little Agnes and a long talk on the phone with Kiddo who finally came home after her 6 months with a french 3* Parelli Instructor.

TG for Parelli training

Dropped my Mecate rein while I rode Milva today and of course she stepped on it. Thank goodness for her Parelli training, instead of flipping out she remained calm and stepped of the rein. Smart girl.
Walk around the pasture afterwards, some grazing and undemanding time in the pasture, fixing the fence together with Sune and a quick trip to the equestrian store to get a mineral stone.

Raining and grey here today, which already makes me miss the summer even though I love autumn with it´s vivid colours.
I found this really delicious tea in Denmark - you also can order it in Sweden online.
It´s called "Celestial", flavoured herb tea. I got Cinnamon Apple Spice and one with Mandarines. Each teabag has a quote on it which makes it even more special. The current one I´m drinking now has the one above on it.
Off to the pony now to see what she is up to...

Soooooo.....there will be an article about Milvis and me in "Der Trakehner". It´s a monthly magazine for Trakehner breeders and owners in Germany and worldwide. The article will be about our horsemanship journey...It´s huge....very huge for me....and it sure will bring me one step closer to performing at Neumuenster...
See my problem is never that I think I can´t do things...I always think I can do anything, which sometimes brings me in more or less big troubles...so my point being is...what I´m gonna say???
How to explain our journey???
I guess I should have thought about that before right....but things always work out in the end, don´t they???

An einem Beitrag von Ihnen habe ich sehr großes Interesse – das klingt ganz spannend und wir sollten sowieso mehr “über den Tellerrand” schauen ... Terminlich kann ich mich gern nach Ihnen richten, der Winter ist lang und alles , was unser Magazin dann ein wenig butner macht, freut mich sehr! Text und Fotos (in Druckauflösung, d.h. Nicht unter 600 dpi) brauche ich zum Beginn des Vormonats, also falls die Januarausgabe Erscheinungsdatum ist zum 1. Dezember, Für die Februarausgabe zum 1. Januar etc. ch kann versprechen, dass ein Artikel erscheinen wird, allerdings nicht exakt die Ausgabe – wenn aktuelle Sachen eintrudeln muss ich fast jedes Mal Texte verschieben und da erwischt es immer die, die keinen direkten aktuellen Bezug haben. Aber wenn Sie mit “1. Quartal 2014” leben können - prima.

Alles Gute nach Schweden (ich habe übrigens mal ein Jahr in Uppsala studiert, eine wunderbare Zeit, aber schon sooo lange her ...)
